Team story

At IFBC, we are passionate about ballet and committed to our students’ success. Founded in 2002, by Rafi Khan and Fernando Aguilera we have a rich history of providing world-class ballet training. Our experienced faculty, with diverse backgrounds in dance and education, collaborates to create a supportive learning environment. We are proud to have trained numerous successful ballet professionals, who have excelled in their careers nationally and internationally.

Mario Fernando Aguilera

Artistic Director

Mario Fernando Aguilera is an Argentinian choreographer, Ballet teacher, Ballet dancer and actor. In 2013 he appeared in Remo D’Souza’s directorial ABCD Any Body Can Dance.

He is also the founder and director of Imperial Fernando Ballet Company (IFBC), an Indian dance school based in New Delhi, India. Mr. Aguilera has choreographed many notable projects across the world Mario Fernando Aguilera was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He Study at the Instituto Superior de Arte del I.S.A. Teatro Colón.
His Maestros are Noemí Molinari, Wasil Tupin, Raúl Gatto, Rina Valver, Ruben Chayán, Ricardo Rivas and Tita Canas. He danced in the Danza Libre Company of Mar del Plata. In 1983 he was selected to the Ballet Company Teatro Colón, directed by Mario Galizzi, where he appeared in ‘Sleeping Beauty.
In the same Teatro, he performed Ballet ’Coppelia’, and Don Quixote under the Direction of Maestro Director Antonio Truyol & Mercedes Serrano. He was President of the Jury of the selection for teachers at the Culture Centre “Puente Blanco San Luis”
He settled in Rio de Janeiro between 1989 and 1992, where he performed with different casts. Back in Buenos Aires, he founded ‘Les Lions Ballet Compagnie (a private company that by 1993 had performed 60 performances). Fernando Aguilera is a Certified Teacher from the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg – Russia.
He has been running the ballet school, Imperial Fernando Ballet Company, in Delhi since 1997.

Mr Aguilera is the mentor of Kamal Singh, Love Kotiya, and Aayush Sharma a notable ballet dancer from Delhi. was selected for the English National Ballet School in London. and Shaiyla Taneja selected in Germany-Berlin

He is awarded the Consejo Argentino de la Danza.

Mario Fernando Aguilera has choreographed and acted in Deepika Padukone’s Parachute ad. The ballet dance from the song “Allah Duhai Hai” from the film Race 3 is choreographed by Fernando Aguilera. He also acted and choreographed in a scene in “Ballet Dance Classes” of the film Happy New Year

Rafi Khan is born in New Delhi, India, has worked as a Business Man in different Companies here in India and abroad.
He together with Mr Fernando Aguilera founded the first Vaganova Ballet School Imperial Fernando Ballet Company in 2007 and today the company has over 1800 students across India with 10 centers in Delhi/NCR and 3 in Mumbai.
Ha has organized events and shows for IFBC and multinational Companies and clients including.

ScholarShips

Merit scholarships are offered to students (age group) who have demonstrated exemplary talent, work ethic and commitment to their training.
For this reason the IFBC School provides scholarships primarily to students who have been enrolled for a year or more.
Scholarships are granted at the discretion of the School Director as a reward for excellence and as an encouragement of potential.
